I'm currently working on this month's swap for Sunday's meeting. The theme this time is Mother's Day. Once again, I chose to do something other than a card. I need to put the finishing touches on my swaps today so I can relax, knowing they're ready for Sunday's meeting. Then perhaps I can make a dent on my craft room. There's so much stuff in there right now, it's hard to even walk around in! There must be a foot of supplies out on my desk, needing to be put away. My problem is that I just have too much stuff - where am I going to put it all? I share the room with my DH and he's got a lot in there, too. I need to seriously use up some of what I have before I buy anything new, but SU! keeps coming out with catalogs with things inside them that scream 'Buy me!' and I cave and get more new stuff!

Two Tags Easter Basket
I shared over the weekend the beveled windowpane pendant I made for those at our last team meeting. Today I'm going to share what they were packaged inside of - a cute little Easter basket using the Two Tags die and, of course, my favorite DSP right now, Springtime Vintage. I got the tutorial for this cute project from Julie Davison's blog, here. I wrapped the pendants inside some pink tissue paper and placed them inside the baskets, which were the actual swap item I'd made for our Easter-themed swap.

Happy Easter!
Last Sunday at our upline's meeting, we made these cute square baskets. The idea came from another demo's blog, but they're so cute! I made one for my stampin' sistah, Darla, who couldn't be at the meeting. For hers, I used up some retired DSP (Spring Fling, I think), and I added the grass in the box along with the butterfly die on the handle. Unfortunately I was shooting in low light quickly this morning before heading off to work, and my pictures were all out of focus a bit, but you get the idea. The box holds three Cadbury Creme Eggs. At Jeanne's meeting, we made an insert tray that helped keep the eggs standing upright - very clever of us, if I do say so myself! I gave Darla her basket today and I think she liked it a lot - especially because it had Cadbury Creme Eggs inside! I knew there was a reason why she and I get along so well - we like the same Easter candy! This is the first time my Chocolate Bunny stamp has seen ink - amazing it took me so long! I'll have to use him this weekend to make up some Easter cards for my family. Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!
My upline, Jeanne, made a very cute Easter card last year for one of our team swaps using the A Good Egg stamp set. She stamped the egg on Whisper White and trimmed close, using the egg as the body for a very cute Easter Bunny. I loved the card, but never managed to make some more of it until today. I just love this cute bunny! It's also the first time I've used my Delicate Dots DSP I got FREE through Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration. I love the soft colors and how well they work for this cute card. My card is basically a CASE (aka Copy And Steal Everything) of Jeanne's, with the exception of the DSP she used (Berry Bliss), adding wiggly eyes instead of dots for them, and how I did the ribbon (hers was just a knot, but I didn't like seeing the seam between the two pieces of DSP so I wrapped my ribbon around that seam to hide it). The cheeks are done with a sponge dauber using Pretty in Pink ink. The strips of Pretty in Pink are tied together with some Linen Thread and tied to the back of the card through two small holes (from the 1/16 inch circle hand punch). His ears were made with the large and small oval punches (Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink), and the tail and feet were using the Three For You flower punch.Sorry for the poor scan on this - I messed with the color balance a little, but it's still not quite right, and having the wiggly eyes on it makes it scan a little blurry. You get the idea, though, right?
May you and yours have a joyous Easter tomorrow. We will be spending time with my side of the family for a casual get-together at my brother's. I am thankful for the sacrifice Christ made for us so long ago and it has more meaning this year after hearing a really good sermon last Sunday about the events leading up to Good Friday. He lives!
