Happy Anniversary...

...to my dear husband of 19 years today!  I've had in mind what I wanted to make for his anniversary card, but it took a while to get it all together.  It started out as a Mojo Monday sketch:

I saw Mike Funke's submission for this sketch, which inspired the card I made for my DH.  I deviated from the sketch a little, but overall I'm really happy with the card.  Our wedding colors where black, red and white, so I wanted to use them on his card.  I hope he likes it!

Father-in-Law's Birthday Card

Today my FIL is celebrating his 80th birthday, so I wanted something a bit special to give to him.  I had an extra card front of my New Year's card that I made for the Stampin' Addicts' Holiday Blog Hop back in August, so I decided to rework it and added part of the Medallion stamp, stamped in VersaMark and embossed in gold.  When I showed my husband, he said "hey, now that's CLASSY!"  Inside, I used a sentiment from the set It's Your Birthday - 'Life is not a matter of counting years, it's a matter of making years count' and then 'Happy Birthday', both stamped in VersaMark and embossed in gold.  I stamped the envelope to match.  I hope he likes it!

Anniversary Card

My DH and I recently celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I wanted to use my new Medallion stamp, and I came up with this. I used Blue Bayou and Baja Blue for the cardstocks, along with Baja Blue ink with Craft White stamped over the top to create the embossed effect. It was also my first time using the jumbo grommets. He really liked the card!
